To the Flitetest Community:
The Fab 3 finished their Storch this past week and were eager to get the maiden out of the way to see what this hobby is all about. The ladies did a very good job, the Storch is no easy build, it takes some time, and they pulled it off with the flying colors. They never asked for help besides the power pod setup, they really wanted to do this all by themselves, to get a true grasp on the Build 2 Fly stage. For their first build and first time actually getting into the hobby, they did a great job, better then most of the newbies we see at MESArcFF. This proves that girls can do it, and yes sorry boys, they can do it better. So where do they go from here after conquering the Storch?
They have a couple of options, they can chose to stay in the Build 2 Fly stage and pick some other aircraft to build. For example, Susannah is already looking forward to building a fighter jet. Another option is they can move into the inquiry and Design stage and play around with the characteristics of the Storch to see if they can get some different results. Lastly, they could move into the Engineering Design phase, that is creating an entire aircraft using the resources available. As 7th graders and still enjoying the fun of building and flying, they are going to stay in the Build 2 Fly stage until they feel comfortable moving on. Got to love differentiation!

Here the ladies talk about their build and what is next for the crew.
They called it the MF-Sharp Knife, a running joke name within the program.
Lots of fun!
Very stable in flight for the video too.
A thumbs up!
