Easy Guide to Buy and Fly a Drone

Hello everyone, I'm ad_flite and I made a list and compilation of some tips for choosing a drone. Let's begin.

First, evaluate your flight space. You don't want to buy an expensive drone and have no space to fly it. For example, don't try to fly an big scale plane in this backyard:

Second, choose a category. If you have a small backyard or park, I recommend you use multirotors or helicopters. You can also use airplanes, LTA (Lighter-than-Air), multirotors, helicopters, and FPV (First-Person-View), but keep safety in mind when flying a larger aircraft.

Third, you should begin with low-cost and easy to fly drones. This is especially important if you have no previous experience flying. Not all drones are easy to fly. If you buy something like this:

and you are a beginner pilot, after a few minutes you may finish like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=itwQKMGl22Y. Look at this chart:

Fourth, BE VERY CAREFUL AND FLY SAFEBe sure that you are in the limits and rules of your state. I recommend looking at the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) website for detailed information: www.modelaircraft.org

Please don't try to go over the clouds, as the height limit is under 400 feet. And never fly within 3 miles of an airport without permission. Check out this link for a list of rules and regulations: www.modelaircraft.org/files/105.pdf

Fifth, not all drones came RTF (Ready-To-Fly). Some come in kits like the FT speed build ones. Don't begin with build kits if you have no experience building, or you can lose money damaging it.

Sixth, be sure that you have all you need before and after flight. Be sure you have everything you need for the flight field with you, or you might lose them. A good idea is to have a list of all you had and what you have for flight.

Seventh, DO THE PRE-POST FLIGHT CHECK. An easy way to do it is the high-five method. Check out this video for some tips: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtIdEYsOGE8

Eighth, calculate the flight and charge timeIf you had a one hour charge and 15 minutes of flight time, you know that if you go with 4 batteries and a charger you can have a good flight time.

Ninth, enjoy your flight time!

Tenth, be part of a community or rcgroup forum. Don't be afraid of try new things but remember to fly carefully and safely. Flite Test has a forum in his page, you can search there or at the RC Groups page.

Eleventh, education is the key. Education is the key for safe and nice flying. Educate yourself using the web. Search for tips that work for you and your flight style.

Post notes: I have no R/C transmitter, airplane or drone. Mine are broken. If you want to give me something contact me at my email: davisitosantiago11@gmail.com. I like the next things: The Graupner MZ24, The Verscopter Quad Kit, The FT Crafty Kit, and The Bushwacker Kit also a FPV kit including GoPro Hero 4 Black, a video transmitter, and a reciever. But if you want to give me another thing it's ok.

Thanks for reading. See you at the next article.
