Easy diversity + RC805 - soldering and connecting.

I wanted a semi long range video link for my FPV so I invested in 2 RC805 5.8ghz and a Easy Diversity board. I use a BOSCAM 5.8ghz 1000mw video transmitter, and I am happy with it so far.

I have only been 1500m out so far, and that was without dirversity. All the FPV i did with this setup was without any video noise.  

But I will try to go to the range limit at some point havent had the need for it yet :) 

In this little how to i will only tell u about the things i couldn't find sufficient info on in their own manuals, so please take a look at them first if you want to do this setup. 

This setup is perfect for the FPV pilot that want a groundstation thats able to grow with time, u dont have to go all the way in one strike like me.

I used a telescope paint roller for my tower, its cheap and it get the job done, plus you can dubble the higth with just adding one more under the first. To fasen it all to the ground i have i parasol spear. also i protected the diversity board in a big match box. everything is velcro on so that its easy to take of if necessary. I power my 2 x RC805, Easy Diversity and FatShark BASE SD from a 12V car jumpstarter.

In my quest for an epic FPV platform i stumbled across some details worth knowing.

1. Yes the RC305 and RC805 solders the same way. here is a pic of how i soldered my RC805's. The 6 pin from the rigth is the RSSI and the one to the far rigth side is the GND.

2. When connecting the video RX to the easy diversity you need to connect it like this. So that the RSSI from opposite video RX from the one you use for video. here is a pic to help explane it.

RC805 has a RP-SMA connector.

Boscam TX channel manual its the BLACK PINS that count as position (just saying)
