Hi every one on Flite Test!
My name is Jimmy Kobler and I'm a 17 year old senior from the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Just a quick background on me: I'm new to the R/C world of flight but I'm not new to full scale aviation. I've been flying for a while now with my dad (who has his private pilots license). This past summer, I was blessed to live in Oshkosh, WI on an internship with the Experimental Aircraft Association. Up there, I got to work as a counselor with their Air Academy summer camp. I was also fortunate enough to get some hours logged in. The video below is me on a lesson that I made for a scholarship, I eventually didn't get it, but I had fun making the video!
What I'm flying is a Cessna Skycatcher. Its classed as an LSA (Light Sport Aircraft). Its a fun sporty aircraft, but probably not the best to learn in. Due to its small, light-weight body and its large wing chord, it is very floaty and wants to fly itself. I heard you guys like specs:
My #1 goal is to become a missnionary pilot. Its my dream to help and serve others around the world through aviation. I'm hoping to attend Moody Bible Institute- Spokane to further my training into this field of work.
I would love to post updates on my progress towards my license and also provide tips for those learning to fly or wanting to learn to fly. In these upcoming weeks, I will be continuing my train at Chicago Executive Airport (KPWK). If you is interested, I would like to post my flying stories on a regular basis. I hope you enjoyed the video, please leave a question or comment below.
Hope to see you in the skies :)
