I've been searching for my DJI Naza F450 and I tried one Gimbal from Hobbyking with cheap Metal Servo and I wasn't really happy about it so I end up buying gimbal from quadframe.com
I just want to let you know this is just personal opinion and there might be other reason some other product didn't work for me.
Anyway, I am not still 100% happy with it but this is very much acceptable unless I uses brushless motor. I just hope this video help other people to choose right one from the beginning and I'd like to thank you to RetroMcSmart "The smoothest servo on the planet?" about choosing Hyperion servo.
Also thanks to Lubis for "External servo power source - revise" article
Here is Quick summary of Quadfrome.com gimbal with HYPERION server if you don't want to watch whole Video :)
<< Gimbal Frame >>
PRO
- Pretty smooth
- Very well built and strong
- Has three different types based on your need
- There is a store in US for fast shipping and support
- Not so cheap (but I am not saying it is expensive but just my opnion
- It can be just me but the Video build wasn't clear on some of the area that I had to redo some parts. I would like better if there is PDF version as well. Video does help though.
- Travel range of pitch and roll move are shorter that I would like it even if the servo supports.
- Servo rod connector is very stiff. I think that is the reason EMAX Servo wasn't working for me.
<<EMAX ES08MD servo>>
It is very jittery. Maybe it was bad servo? I haven't put a lot of different testing but you will see it was very jittery.
<<HYPERION DS11-SCB Servo>>
It is expensive servo but pretty smooth and very strong and even works well with that very stiff servo rod connector that I was having problem with.
Here are products that I bought and tested.

And some hobbyking metal servos and gimbal that I don't think it is worth to put the link here..
Again, I am still doing fine tuning and need to do some prop balancing, etc.
For DJI configuration, this is my baseline but I will have post my final configuration once I am done with all tuning.
