Bixler 2 Prop Adaptor Problem - SOLVED FOR FREE

If you cant fix something with cable ties, your just not using enough cable ties.

Today I recieved my Hobbyking order. Finally! I can get my bixler back up in the air after a mid-air collision with a combat wing (dont ask). I put on my new prop adaptor and prop and found, well what people say about those adaptors is true. My last prop adaptor was usable, this one, is unfortnately not. The amount of vibration produced by this out of whack piece of 'engineering' was pretty amazing. I sat the bixler in the corner in frustration.

An hour later this little idea sprung into my head, just like a bought one.. only better!!

Make sure you use good quality cable ties, if your Australian, SuperCheapAuto sell the best!!

Happy Flying! :)

Bush engineering, love it. Agreed...Those Bixler prop adaptors, and many others, are very poorly made. They have one purpose, to hold the prop on straight, and that's exactly what they don't do.

Have also heard that cable ties make a good replacement for the crap o rings on prop savers....yet to try it out but at the rate the o rings spin off or snap...I think I may give it a try! Aussie Aussie Aussie!

Thank you! I watched this and went "duh, so simple and I NEED to do it. " lol I have so much jello with my Bix 2 and its crap prop adapter. I actually thought the shaft might be bent. Hope this will let me keep some of my footage when I have the power on. Sometimes the simple things are the best. :)
