Best Beginner 4 Channel RC Plane: Apprentice S

by VoroRC | April 17, 2014 | (7) Posted in Reviews

Today we have a review of the E-Flite Apprentice S. This plane is amazing! It's for all pilots, from first time flyer all the way to aerobatics. The two video below are seperate reviews. The flight review goes through the flying and handling of the plane, as well as the safe system and how useful it can be. The second video is the complete review of the airplane, talking about the hardwear, SAFE system, building, flying, etc... I highly recommend this plane to any level of pilot, even the pilots whom have never flown before.

I'm very approachable and appreciate any type of questions or feed back, so feel free to comment below or email me your questions : vororc@gmail.com

Enjoy the videos and have fun.

How much did eflite pay you to do the review?

They didn't pay me anything. All of my reviews are 100% honest.

Thanks,
Voro

Nice job! I purchased one of these planes the other day and wondered about it's flight characteristics. You filled in all the holes with your video. Very excited to give it a go. I also ordered the floats for it since I live on a lake. Thanks again ! Doug

Your review was right on. I am a novice and got the Apprentice with SAFE and couldn't be more satisfied. After some simulator time I was able to solo without help and now have 6 successful flights in. I agree that it is time to switch to intermediate mode before bad habits get set.

All reviews should be that valuable. No music, pip of tx, good narrative, good voice quality. Makes you wonder who pulled Howdys strings to make him type that? Remember the Delta Ray has SAFE and AS3X too. FT did a very cool ( rumor has it big oil and labor unions paid them big! ) review on that plane. Thanks Voro & FT

Excellent flight demo of the stability system on the plane. I like the insert video of the flight controller. Think you covered all the bases very well.
I learned to fly on my own in the 70's, after three power planes and only a total of ten minutes of flight time I got a motor glider. The glider was stable and slow, I was finally able to move on from that point.

Wish that type of system was available back then.
Keep up the good work.
Preston

Apprentice S was my 2nd plane. Great flyer, video no exaggeration. At first beginner mode was so docile turning I had to switch to intermediate to stay on the field. Takes some getting used to. The panic/beginner switch is a hoot and it's fun to get inverted and snap back to level. Not mentioned is the great ground handling tricycle gear with the nose wheel tied to the rudder: taxi all over the place. 16 flights no crashes landing upright on pavement, dirt, and grass w/o flipping. Thanks for nice review.

I've been agonizing over my first plane purchase. It's been between the Apprentice, and the Parkzone sport cub. I'll admit I really like the looks of the cub, but after watching your review, I think you've helped me finalize my choice. Thanks a lot.
