Baylands Park Meet Up

We recently had a chance to visit the West Coast and meet up at the Baylands Park! 

It was an amazing turnout for such short notice. We had the chance to talk to so many great people.

Seeing all of the scratch built planes, FT kit planes, and other custom designs was so inspiring!

Seeing all of the families was super cool as well! Tag your flying family photos #flyingfamilies on instagram!

There were some amazing builds and it was really fun to see all of the FT Speed Build/ Scratch builds kits!

Joel (@eraticatedcookies) was experimenting with zip-ties on his props.

This quadcopter with retractable landing gear and an servo-driven drop down camera setup was great!

Peter had a chance to talk to the designer of this VTOL plane.

A PS4 quadcopter!? It was so great to see all of the custom designs and meet all of the fantastic pilots at the meet up.

Yeah that was a great suprising for me too! Thanks for letting me steal all of your orange and yellow zip ties. By the sounds of things, this could be an annual event, so better stock up on your zip ties! It was an experience that is like no other, being with this community. I'm glad that little bit made it in, and the last picture of the article is my giant BF109E!

West Coast Flite Fest would be amazing! Especially if it was held in the Bay Area... we have so few RC flight festivals out here.

West Coast FliteFest!!!!!! Please! Up here in BC Canada I live on a big farm with a bunch of flat fields... you should check into it if you like. But ya, please seriously consider it!

Weird I know a lot of the people in that picture! ohh wait I fly there too! It was great meeting all the Flite Test guys!.

Anybody who lives in the are and wants to join, we're having a Fly-in - Competition - BBQ - Raffle - Swapmeet at the end of this month at the same location
