Thanks for the nice article. One thing though, the reason the antenna is called an inverted-vee is that it looks like the letter "V" upside-down. If it's right-side up, guess what :)

Your right and that is because of the way hams put up much larger versions of these antennas. One pole at the feed point and the arms tied to the ground with string extensions.
The theory is the same so I stuck with the common name.

Actually, it's the only reason why Hams call it inverted - because it is ... but don't let me stop you.

If you can get your hands on The ARRL Antenna Handbook, that'll help you a lot. Look for LEO (Low-Earth Orbiting) satellite antennas for the 70cm Ham band as I think those are the ones that'll be most useful for your needs. 433MHz is, by the way, within the 70cm Ham band.
