Backpack FPV wing

Hi everybody!

I just wanted to share with you a project I have worked on for the past years. The idea is to be able to carry your fpv plane and ground station in your backpack so if you find a nice place while walking you can take a flight!

Here is what I came up with:

It has been designed to be efficient, easy to build (if you have access to a hot wire machine) and to fly, durable and transportable. Everything is held together with magnets and servos connect automatically so the plane can be prepared in just a few seconds. A carbon spar strengthen the assembly.

I also developed a small autopilot based on the ArduImu that provides fly-by-wire and homing functions so any beginner shoud be able to fly it :D

here is a short demo ( my battery died...) I made with the EPP FPV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpTwSaQeJIE

I have the XFLR5 design if you want? I don't know if you know this soft? it's an open source numeric wind tunnel. I can give you the model of my plane I simulated in it.

love the design I started my own using the Arman wing design rather than cutting with hot wire.

Wow that is great work! You should definitely make a build video so show more detail. I love the idea though because I have a motorcycle and I'd like to be able to take a FPV system with me. I have a folding H-quad that I can take with me now though.
