Hey Everybody,
So.. about a year ago I started in R/C helis with a CP 250 size, crashed, and never rebuilt it. Now, after getting a few coaxials, I got another CP (the Blade mCPX) and I'm doing great in my opinion. I'm good at hovering tail-in, and also sideways. I'm also getting good at doing faster forward flight - and I only got the heli last weekend.
Anyone who wants to go from coaxial to CP, choose the Blade mCPX V2 and fly over grass. Also put the mCPX in low rates and you'll do just fine! :D The videos show my first flights with the mCPX will only simulator and coaxial experience except for that 250 crash 1 year ago.
Tips for going from coaxial to CP:
-Simulator, simulator, simulator, simulator!!!!! Practice a LOT, it helps with orientation more than you'll think, especially when getting into forward flight
-Buy a small durable heli
-Have an experienced pilot trim it for you!
-Use low rates + expo if your radio supports it
-Fly over grass
-In an emergency, hit throttle cut
-Always fly in an open, non-windy area with the sun at your back
-Never fly too far away
-CP helis react faster, so use tiny stick movements
:)
