That was cool! In response to the plane police, I'd love to see who they are going to get to regulate the "rules". This kinda stuff makes me laugh. Don't worry Figbouy the bad man is not going to come take away your toys because Corsair went to the bottom of a cloud.

I accidentally went up to 500 feet with the quad. Get the cuffs.

Sorry to be downer, but this is not impressive and in fact exactly the kind of thing that will get RC tightly restricted. the FAA currently has all these rules up for review at the moment due to UAV airspace integration. As a full size pilot, I would rather not be worrying about RC planes in the mix during IMC (eg in the clouds). Just because you can does not mean you should. Please think about the ramifications if something goes wrong. By definition you are already breaking the regs with it out of sight...this is about as responsible as shining a laser up at the nearest helo or commercial flight.

First off, it was never out of sight
I flew line of sight, meaning I didn't lose sight of it

Secondly, the cloud base was extremely low, probably no more than 1 to 200 feet

I understand what you are saying, but that doesn't necessarily apply to this situation

from the sight angle, well above 100-200 feet...basically RC planes and FPVs in particular are a flying collection of potential single mode failures. Do you even know what the regs are for aircraft in VFR conditions, eg minimum distance from clouds or what is VFR? Not trying to be confrontational in a negative way, but that kind of stuff is important if you are going to fly into the airspace more broadly than at a club field like you are doing. Find a flying club to join and work from there, far far safer...

Impressive to get up there LOS. Our cloud base must be way up there I have been up 1500 FPV and still not close.
