Microaces Response

There has been a lot of discussion regarding our new format, blunt opinions from a Swede and a partially negative review. After the Flite Test review was released, Jon Porter of Microaces responded with some counter points that we may have missed.

Because we can't keep our mouths shut... we had to have the last word.

Keep up the good work guys. I personally like the new format and from what I saw agree with David's conclusions. They are great little planes, but they are just too expensive to justify their size and functionality. I found Micro aces response a bit... arrogant. He didn't even address the control surface binding on his stickers.

I watch the show because of the honest opinions. In the whole review, I never equated Dave's opinion with it being a bad plane. You seemed to be apologizing for that and I think it just wasn't there.
Sure was good to get John's side of it too though. Really learned a lot. The whole even has woken up my interest in these planes.

The only problem I see is that Josh Scott missed having an airplane named after him.

Again.

Cool thanks guys, didn't mean to give FT the bad report but it does really look shakey. I was browsing coments on YouTube about the vid and came across many common answers that state this: You have to know how to fly a warbird really, really well and be an expert pilot on it. This also explains how David couldn't stand it! As far as we know he hasn't ever flown a large scale GP warbird. Thanks again FT! Keep it up!

What the review told me was that I am not ready to fly these yet. Whilst I am not ready now, I hope that I will get there one day and when I do, you can bet your mother I will own one.....or six

FWIW. I appreciated the honest criticism on David's part. He shed a different light on a product, I believe it was a fair assessment. I tend to be less trusting of reviews when they are always positive. I'm not discouraged from purchasing a Microaces kit, as I'm sure I will get one eventually. Cost being the most prohibitive aspect.

The "review" certainly could have been better structured and poised, but as it is, the knee jerk reaction to a product is the easiest to identify with as a consumer.

That is my $0.02 worth. I would love more reviews like this, head shavings and all ;)
