The Challenge was to try to build a hexacopter as a new FPV platform for less than $300 not including a radio.

Thank you for your complete walkthrough. You brought my interest now on an hexacopter instead of a quadcopter. What would you recommend to begin? It looks like the hexacopter is much more stable.

Unfortunately that frame is not backordered anymore by HK. Does the standard 550mm hex frame is the same one just without PCB? Thx

i have a short flight at the end of the third video which is actually the first time i put it in the air and it flew perfectly.

I have been waiting to build mine but it arrived without screws. Apparently they are in the mail 6 months later!

the non pcb frame is the same you will just need to order the octocopter poswer distribution (they dont make a Hex) and stick it to the bottom level of the frame. Otherwise you would have to solder 6 esc power leads together witch is a pain if you need to replace one.
