Holy Puck!

So after we did Curling at the local ice rink I thought to myself, it would be great to fly the quad inside here!!

Talked to the marketing guys and they liked the idea. Wanting to impress them at the meeting, a couple of weeks later I thought, how can I get a new perspective (cheeky ;) on ice sports/activities?

The answer was the VA ICE01! with only the normal rc plane gear and a single servo, i built a little ice skating machine.

It was just too fast and shaky for the GoPro but it proved the concept and they loved it!

As a consequence I started developing a "proper one" from scratch for the purpose of camera work... the rest you can see on the video. Last time I checked there were 3 GoPro's on board ;)

Let me know what you guys think!

Hope to go back to small scale (no camera) again in the future and build a couple of these. An empty ice rink... couple of spray cans, draw a track and raceee!! :D

Probably! We are already trying to talk to the right people and after this video was put together we already filmed some ice hockey practice drills with a full team out on the ice, and I must say, it looks so cool :D

Now its just a case of talking to the right people and moving on to bigger and better ideas/uses :)
