Folding H-Quad based on the Flite Test plans. Fold it up and transport in a back pack. Works great! Took about 2 hours to make and about $8 in materials. Take note of the Home Depot yard stick, can you find it. It was the perfect size, matched the 1/2x1/2 square dowels stacked on ends.
I get about 6 minute of "safe" flight time with a 2650 3s battery. Got to get the voltage meter and buzzer connected on KK2 board.
I have been flying a Go Pro but looking forward to going full FPV with it, saving up for a 5.8 rx/tx.

body to 4" so a HK quad power distribution board would fit, made the body 6" at ends to give space and structure for the hinge. The motor arm piece is split so it can fold. It is sandwiched on ends 2-1/2x1/2 wooden dowel, same stuff the arms are made of. The ends are capped on top with a short sections of 1/8": plywood to give the body box more torsional stiffness. I used a piece of cloroplast from an old election sign to make the central top cover. Used velcro to hold it down. Used hot glue to assemble it all. It has been strong so far, broke a prop a couple hundred feet up, crashed hard with no damage except for breaking all props.
