And finally this thread, devoted to the coroplast version:

Why coroplast?
Because it's FREE (well- we get if free anyways)
Because it can take a beating
Why not build it out of foam?
I don't have any right now :)
The foam version of the airframe can probably be built out of one or two sheets of dollar tree foam, maybe I'll try one next. In the meantime I'm having fun with this version.
Setup
fc2812 motor
7x6 apc style prop
25-30 esc
1300mah 3s battery
power hd 1711mg servos
Watch the videos and glue up the airframe. There are some diffences with this build but not many. This build doesn't need any reinforcment. The airframe flexes a bit in flight but works just fine. I just used a piece of a paint stick to mount the motor and then hotglued the homemade firewall to the plane. The motor mount is glued so the the motor is inline with the wing. No offset/up or down thrust is needed. Hotglue is your friend with this build.
The elevator horns on this version are made from large zip ties, just cut a slot through the wing and hot glue them in. The important thing is to have a hole available near the elevator surace to allow big throws. Set your radio up for elevon mixing with LOTS of throws, this plane needs big throws to fly well.
CG needs to be somewhere in front of the prop slot but the plane flies well over a pretty good range of CG location. Some trial and error will help you find your preference. I start with the battery just under the front of the wing
Drops a lot of altitude in turns, flies inverted but won't loop inverted (probably due to my control setup).
The build is a little heavy but we fly these planes regularly in combat. The can be repaired in the field easily if you carry a hot glue gun. They are tough but not indestructible. The beauty of it is if you have to start over, the airframe is about as cheap as it gets.
This plane will never deal out punishment like an Assassin combat plane but it's tough and fun to fly. Build one and post your pics and vids in the F22 thread!

Parts are all cut out here:

Tape up the tears and keep flying. Keep in mind that this was going up against 55 inch 80mph combat wings!
Could have gone for more until a prop strike cut a servo wire.
After a days bashing at the feild:
Salvaged everything needed for the next one :)
Somebody like these planes.
Picture of my latest one. Cut the battery slot to friction fit into the fuselage. I wasn't sure where the cg was going to work out in the original.
Update- We are still flying these planes. Most feel that it's a little underpowered with the stock fc2812 motor. Lots of folks are using something like the 2826-2200 motor and have been a lot happier with them. I have had good results with th rewound 2812, rewound with 9 turns of high temp rated 24 gauge wire.

Sometimes sign shops will also have some laying around from misprints etc. check around :)
If you are on the cheap and you have to buy the coroplast it may not be cost effective for you. It doesn't get much cheaper than dollar tree foam unless you can get it for free ;)

Not stealing anybody's ideas! Plans are free at the links posted above. Denial15 on RC Groups get cred for introducing me to the coro version!
