After reading about bombdrops, I wanted to have one on my easystar. The guys from flitetest (with loads of good ideas) put the servo outside the plane. I thought that could be improved, so I figured out a way to put the servo in the plane (invisible when flying), and I need just a minute to attach the rubber band to the bombdrop to make it ready for use.
The servo is attached to the plane using velcro. It will keep the servo in place and give it a little room to wiggle. To the left and the right of the servo you can see bits of hard plastic tubing, so when the wire is going back and forth, it will not cut into the fuselage.
Attached to the linkage stopper on the servo-arm there is a piece of wire. When the servoarm is pointing to the right (where the rubber band can be attached) the wire is not seen from the outside of the plane. The bombdrop is only visible when the rubber band is attached.
To attach the rubber band, just undo the screw on the linkage stopper. Push the wire to the right, attach the rubber band, push the wire back, and fasten the linkage stopper.
After arming the bombdrop (simply make the servo go all the way to the left in the first photo, and attach the rubber band to the wire that is now sticking out), put your bomb under the rubber band and release when ready.
I put mine on channel 5 of my Turnigy 9X. I use the gear-switch because it can be reached easily when flying.

Still it works like a charm.
I connected it with velcro on purpose, so it would be detachable.
