So i wanted a rc plane that I could get good long flights out of, so I decided to make a motorglider (like the photonglider from experimental RC) with a 5 foot wingspan.
I bought some foamboard and started designing and building. I started with the fuselage:
I made the fuselage 2 inches by 1.5 inches which matches the Ft swappable firewall dimensions. I used the techniques from Experimental RC to build the fuse.'
I then cut out the tail section of the motorglider with a tapered tail.
I attached the tail section of the fuselage and the front section.
The fuselage was 48 inches long when complete
I cut out a basic tail section and glued it on.
I glued in my servos (9grams) then ued a zip tie attached to a popsicle stick to avoid flex in the push rod.
I created a battery door in the fuse which held my receiver, battery and ESC.
The finished product.

Right now there is only 2 videos on my channel, but there is more to come soon!' I am 12 years old, love the hobby, and would appreciate it if you watch my vid!!! I know this is asking for a lot, but please click on the ads.
To conclude this article, the build was a type of succes. I didn't get the flight charecteristics I wanted from this aircraft but it still flew--I wasn't able to get any flight video before i tried to teach my dad how to fly. Only the wing of this aircraft remains in one piece.
