I agree completely. Searching for "flying Bixler" and every variation on that will not return the the guy that made the flying Josh Bixler. It will return the HobbyKing Bixler.

Does anyone have a link for the flying Bixler that was mentioned on the show?

Thanks, I found this the most interesting of the last several podcasts. What interested me was the first half of the podcast. Idiot crash stories still bore me rigid.

I just bought an 18 channel Spektrum DX18 for less than half price. As a beginning flier, I have no idea what I'm going to use the other 12 channels for.

Oh you'll find a use of them ;)

Gear, lights, flaps, pan/tilts, gimbals, bomb drops there are no limits.

re APM & Agriculture: In 2004-ish a student described how his tractor (This is Texas, so the tractor probably cost more than a half dozen Prius) used satellite imagery to control spray rates while in the field. You can purchase satellite imagery shot at non-visible wave lengths and that can be used to determine aspects of crops. In 50 years the freedom of information act will help reveal how they hired the Roomba folks to program the satellite to plug itself into the international space station to recharge every night.
