Train Derailment Aerial Footage Lynchburg VA

by StoneBlueAirlines | May 1, 2014 | (6) Posted in Just Fun

We have had a ton of rain in our area and it caused a local train carrying oil to derail and crash. Thank God there were no injuries and Fire, Ems and rescue personnel were quick to arrive at the site. Things are under control now and reconstruction is under way. My  flight was done FPV with spotters including a very nice public safety official. I used a QAV 250 and filmed with Mobius camera.

Great footage. Did the local new get any of your work?
What Mobius did you use, standard or wide angle lens?

Also from Virginia. Quick question, did you sell it to the news or donate it?

Love your stuff, thanks for showcasing the utility of our hobby. I think you may need to dial down your PIs and maybe kick up the expos... unless it was windy day of course.
