this is my version of a 60inch plane i already own so i decided to do my own version from foam board

this is the body i traced from an old one i had that was pretty much finished,
its cut from one sheet of foam,i had to add more to make up the lenghth total body length is 45inches

the wing design came from the ft cruzer plans with a few mod's to the size it worked well

i used an old wing joiner i had to join the two halves an used foam to finish the wing spar

finished wing and it is really strong and really light for 60 inches

for the rudder an tail i used the tail from my old sensei to make the plans for the new elevator and rudder, for the rudder connection i used some old control rod did some bends and glued it to the bottom of the rudder

old servo horns work well for rudder connections!

more old control rod to join the two halves of the elevator

cuts for the tail to set in for allignment

rudder control rod in placerudder an elevator all in place

i know scary looking huh!!!!but it works well and holds the weight of the entire plane!! its an e-flite 480 with a hobbyking 45esc and an 11.1 2200mah

now its really comeing together!!!

battery box is located in the front of the plane for cg purposes it is perfect!

plenty of room in the servo compartment

front landing gear mount was going to make it steerable but opted for the locked in position front wheel,

here it is finished project!

You either need to vacume form a cowl or find one that fits. The nose doesnt quite fit the rest of the plane. Still 5 stars, very nice.

I watch him build this plane and the motor mount was scary but it works fine. I take most of the plane vids and this plane looks killer in the sky.I also chase him with a fpv plane as well maybe he can get a clip of that for you guys as well, ........steve.s

Awesome build! What the heck did you make that extended motor mount out of? Looks wild as hell.

I used a piece of aluminum tube I bought at lowes, I inserted a small piece of dowel in each end and glued them in the tube allowing me to screw it in place on both the firewall and the motor works well and to add my right angle thrust I made one slightly longer one slightly shorter two the same

Could you please share the plans? Also, which battery did you use, and what was the all-up-weight?

I don't really have any but I will take some measurements and post them for you, I use an 11.1v 2200mah 2.2 turnigy as for the weight I will have to check that and I will post that as well
