Maiden Flight, Caught a Thermal

Today I went out to maiden my new Parkzone Radian.  I got the PNP version and flew on my Tactic TTX650, with a TR624 RX installed in the Radian.  I bought this plane to do some thermal flying next spring/summer and was not expecting to catch this insane amount of lift today in the winter!  What a great surprise on a maiden flight!  The plane skyrocketed to hundreds of feet in the air, all without using any motor power at all.

Notice the wing at 0:41, as it bumps into the side of the thermal.  I circled around again and headed straight into it and rode it up into the skies!

Enjoy!

I remember my first big thermal, I was flying the Simple Soarer and I caught a boomer! The plane was the size of a quarter within a minute or so.

Have you had any problems with the tactic ttx650 cutting out randomly?

Not at all. I've had everything from the DX7s to Futaba 14SG, and this TTX650 is the most reliable radio I've had yet!
