DYI XT60 Battery Connector Protector

Have troubles remembering what lipos you have fullly charged or discharged?  Then this should help you out.

Tools needed:

  • Helping hand
  • Soldering Iron
  • Pliers
  • XT60 Male Connector(s)

If you find the protectors are alittle too loose after you remove the pins, you can heat the outside of the connector carefully with a lighter and bend it a little to create a friction fit on the end of the battery connector.  Check out the video to see how simple it is to make one.  You can paint them or put a ring a tape around them to distinguish if they are lipos in storage or discharged as well.

This was simple to do but has saved me time instead of always having to check the batteries with the tester, I can just glance and see what batteries are ready, what ones are in storage and the ones that are discharged.
