Baby Blender for Lucas

Who is Lucas?

Lucas is a "needy/poor" 13 years old boy that goes to our "club" all weekend. He is passionate about airplanes, and always help ous getting "lost" planes in the bush, and remove weeds from the landing strip. So we decide to make a plane for him and donate it RTF.

As all my buildings I start with a micro one for my 4 years son. Then jump for the bigger one.

Where I live (Ariquemes - Rondônia - Brasil)  there´s no Depron so all my planes are made of round "pizza trays"  square cutted and glued, and for the rigid parts (under wing) I´ve used big 5mm "ham trays".

Due to some tray size restrictions have made a 82% scale one, and decide to personalize the Baby Blender with Lucas Oil brand logo because boy´s name.

SPECS and DONATIONS:

Motor: Emax CF - 2822  (Donation of Adriano Longo)
Lipo: 3s 1300 Mah (For now is using my Lipo)
Prop: 8x4 GWS Style
25A ESC - (Donation of Adriano Longo)
Super Light 5 Spoke Wheel - (Donation of Davi Rondofrio)
3x 9g Servos - (Donation of Horácio Matos and Adalberto Lopes)
Carbon fiber push rods (Donation of Adalberto Lopes)

Thank you DennyNC.

I use a PVA resine base paint for handcraft: http://www.artecamargo.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Kit-Tinta-PVA-Acrilex-37ml-06-Cores.jpg
Because this kind of paint is not waterproof I cover all with translucid packing tape.

For logos I print them in a white A4 sticky paper for inkjet printers and put them after painting and before cover the plane with tape.

The little one I´ve print the pdfs provided by Flite Test in Acrobat Reader with scale option on. I think mine was printed in 23% or by default option "reduce/shrink large files to fit", I can´t remember either one.

The 23%, no! It´s to small!
But the 82% one, yes!

Two last pictures shows Lucas flying the baby blender.
The only arrangement I had to made was chanching the motor mount to the front of the plane to get correct CG, and a lot of motor down thrust to keep it straight at medium throthle.
My TX don´t have expo, so it´s a little, just a litlle "nervous" plane for beginners without expo, so I plan to make a Old Fogey to him.
