I like the grins on the Josh's faces while flying their Raptors. Reminds me of the first time I flew my Raptor, and the second, then the 50th time, heck, I haven't stopped grinning yet!

That would be too big. I wouldn't go any bigger than this with an 8x4 prop and a 3S 1000mah battery.

Just ordered the epp foam and parts for my build. I'm making one for my father-in-law too as a gift. I'm intrigued as to how much epp costs in the US as it was nearly £7 a sheet here in Blighty (500mm x 800mm x 10mm) and that was before postage. When you guys say that you can pick up foam from the local hardware store, what kind of foam is it. All I can find at any of mine are sheets of normal polystyene; very brittle and not very dense at all. Can't wait to get them built. We're gonna have a blast.

It is very funny how this plane just keeps getting more attenion, year after year!

Here is some videos of the ones I have owned.

I sold maybe 60 of these!
I don't know why I stop making them.
Oh yes I do, It was starting to be a job and I wasn't having any fun unless I was flying them!

Tha's a good reason to stop for me!

Nice plane. Looks like a blast to fly. Heck of a landing, Josh S! Should throw a hook on them and try to land them on a make-shift carrier :)

I got an 8x4 prop for mine as this is what Josh used on one of theirs on the video. I might change depending on how it goes as I've only just ordered everything. Let me know if you get any good results with any other sizes. :)

I think these originally were made with epp what did you guys end up using. I have some dollar tree foam laying around hopefully it can be used?

As a noobie could someone please suggest some throws for low (for beginning) and high (more advanced) rates. Degrees or mm/in would be nice. With the 3s battery and the 8x4 prop this plane goes a little too fast for the size of the flying field and my reaction times. Thanks.

Help. I got carried away and decided that bigger is better. So I built the 32 inch version. Now I am trying to figure out the motor it will take to get this in the air. Any thoughts would be appreciated. It looks fantastic BTW

Where did you get the little tanks/missiles from on the light grey Raptor, nice little detail that you should share with people... I want to build this plane next!
