I've been a fan of the multiwii. A little more cumbersome to set up the first time but we'll worth the time. And On most boards you can add a oled screen to adjust pids and have altitude hold. The kk2.0 boards are a bit more simple to set up and get in the air. By far the cheapest boards to get a decent flight. And if you have a flyaway it hurts a little less. lol

I just picked up an Eagle Tree Vector for fixed wing use. I'm venturing into long range FPV and love the recovery potential of the autopilot feature. I was torn between it and the Pixhawk, but ultimately $$ was the deciding factor.
