Is there an update to this cause I have just bought the newer KK2.1 board and there is no longer the hole in the board for the red wire?

Hi Giz. I had the same problem with KK2.1 board monitoring the voltage. When powered up it would not show any voltage on the home screen. I did some research and it turns out to be quite easy to do. If you look on the board on the left hand edge just below the fixing hole are the voltage monitoring pins. I took a pin from an old servo lead, the red one and pushed it onto the left positive pin, nearest the edge (see Hobby King data sheet) then solder onto positive wire from battery where it meets the copter frame. Good flying.
